August is shaping up to be a big month.
GrapeNuts, along with the weekly GLOW gig on Wednesdays is running the sound and DJing all day for the
PRO TEAM CHALLENGE wakeboarding competition on Bow Lake, on Sunday August 2nd.
Booming sound system and good tunes all day long.

Mixing is still in process for Megatron’s 2nd Release. More studio time may need to be scheduled,
and the release time of early fall may be pushed back so we don’t have to sacrifice deadlines for a quality product.
Preparations are in the works for an amazing week at Burning Man this year
DJ Grapenuts is heading up a camp with 2 buddies; Moontroll and E-Dubious who run the amazing website and blog Destination Burning Man
This year we are latched on to camp Get Lost who are building the Temple, and we will have our own small sound camp with a 20’ tall shade structure and a 22’ geodesic dome. Keep a look out for some awesome Burning Man live sets in the future.

After BM, G-Nutz is heading to San Francisco to volunteer at Power to the Peaceful in Golden Gate Park,
then returning home for a week to prepare for a month in Ghana and a 3 week stint in the UK.

BIG CONGRATS to Paul’s sister, Anne and brother in law Matt for delivering a healthy baby boy into this world on June 23. James Linden Fordham.
BIG CONGRATS to Julian Macdonough- Megatron Drummer, and his lovely wife Jen, June 25 a beautiful baby girl!
Jazz Festival in Vancouver was awesome, Julian Played every night at the after hours jam session. I made some great connections with people and and hoping that many great things will grow from these new opportunities and new friends.

also they have a private wedding coming up, and yes, really they are getting ready to record. really.
DJ Grapenuts is throwing down the gamut of styles at Bellingham’s newest swankiest highest dance club. GLOW, every Monday night at 9pm till late. It is Service and Industry Night, so all drinks are $3, and Ryan I is running the bar. PLEASE come out and check this place out, and take a spin on the dance floor with Grapenuts in control of the mix.

Highlife Records on Commercial Drive in Vancouver has got to be one of the coolest music shops around. it is small and you get the feeling walking in there that any CD or Record you pick up off the shelf is going to be great. so it is an honor and a privilege for Dirt Factory Records to be represented there.
